The use of electric power in a light aircraft

Abstract

The article analyzes a possibility of using electric engines and electric power accumulators in very light and ultra light airplanes, considering the achieved electric power keeping level and predictions of development. First of all, the mass of the engine and accumulator is evaluated. At a later stage, it is compared with the mass of the gas engine and fuel. The last step is to find criterions allowing making a decision on how to choose a powerhouse.

Elektros energijos panaudojimas lengvojoje aviacijoje

Santrauka. Nagrinėjama elektrinių variklių ir elektros energijos akumuliatorių naudojimo galimybė labai lengvuose ir ultralengvuose orlaiviuose atsižvelgiant į jau pasiektą elektros energijos saugojimo įrangos lygį ir raidos prognozes. Įvertinant variklio ir akumuliatoriaus masę ir ją lyginant su vidaus degimo variklio ir degalų mase ieškoma kriterijų, kurie leistų priimti sprendimą pasirenkant vieno ar kito tipo jėgainę.
